Lackawanna Family STEM Night for grades 6-8 students and families- Thursday, April 11th!

Local area high school students from Lakeland, Forest City and Valley View have been meeting regularly to design a family STEM night for all Lackawanna County residents with middle school children.

Valley View School District will host the event on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. This event is generously sponsored by the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties and is FREE for all participants.

This event is open for all families with 6th - 8th grade students in Lackawanna County. Seating is limited and will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Sign up does not guarantee seating, a confirmation email will be sent out after registering.

Our Lakeland high school students who helped to organize this event will be at the Family STEM night serving as team leaders. We hope you can attend this great event.

The reconfiguration of the Lakeland Elementary Schools: Mayfield and Scott Campuses was briefly discussed as an information item at the Board work session on January 8, 2019. Tonights Candlelight Vigil

The Greenfield Fire and Rescue Company and Propst Transportation will provide free shuttle services for friends and family for tonight's candlelight vigil starting at 5:30. Guests may part in the upper Greenfield Municipal Building parking lot located on rt. 106. Extra parking is in the empty lot across the street from the Greenfield Municipal Building.
